Acura will unveil a "substantially new" version of the compact ILX sedan at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. While providing few specifics, the automaker promised this remake will give the ILX more aggressive exterior styling, an upgraded interior and a "potent new powertrain" while ensuring its entry-premium 4-door sedan remains a solid value.

Acura says the current ILX already does a better job of attracting buyers under the age of 35 than any other vehicle in its class. By sharpening the car’s focus on performance, upping its luxury quotient and expanding the roster of available safety/driver-assist features, Acura hopes to leverage the ILX’s appeal to these young, affluent buyers.
