While a good deal carries over for the new season, the 2015 Ford Fusion arrives in showrooms later this year with several significant additions and two major deletions. As we reported earlier, the non-hybrid Fusion drops the base 178-horsepower/1.6-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine in favor of the newer 181-horse/1.5-liter EcoBoost engine as the step-up from its base 175-horsepower/2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. The optional 240-horse/2.0-liter EcoBoost remains the hottest underhood choice. This year also sees the 6-speed manual transmission formerly available with the 1.6-liter dropped; all 2015 Fusions will come with a standard, 6-speed automatic.

On the arrivals side, Ford‘s stylish midsize for 2015 includes new 16-inch alloy wheels to replace steel rims on the entry-level Fusion S. Other additions include a standard rearview camera, a 6-way power front passenger seat on the SE and 10-way power assist on the range-topping Titanium model along with the availability of all-wheel drive on the more affordable Fusion SE with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Also richening the mix is a new appearance package that includes Terracotta leather seats and door inserts plus 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/45 rubber. Pricing on all of the 2015 Ford Fusion models will be released closer to their actual on-sale date.
