Volkswagen is spiffing up its 2014 Beetle Coupe and Convertible with a new premium package that combines new features with bits previously only offered on models equipped with the high spec R-Line trim. Among the new items to the Beetle are automatic Bi-Xenon headlamps, Climatronic automatic climate control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, RNS 51 touchscreen system with navigation and satellite radio and an iPhone5 cradle. R-Line features include bumpers and foglights, 19-inch Torando wheels in white, and a sport suspension on the 1.8-liter gas turbo model.

The premium package also includes unique seating surfaces with leather inserts and contrasting stitching, gray door sills and mirror caps, 18-inch disc wheels in gray, an auto dimming rearview mirror, Fender sound system and three color options, Oryx White, Platinum Gray or Deep Black.
The 2014 Volkswagen Beetle Coupe with the premium package will retail for $27,355 with the 1.8-liter gas turbo engine and $29,355 for the turbodiesel. The respective Convertible models are $3,400 more.
