2014-2016 Range Rovers Recalled for Suspension Failure

JLR, formerly known as Jaguar Land Rover, has recalled 16,759 Range Rover SUVs from model years 2014 through 2016 because a critical suspension part can fail.

The company tells federal safety regulators, “The front suspension upper knuckle joint could develop a crack. In extreme cases, this may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm.” This could compromise vehicle control.

Only parts built on certain dates are affected. Dealers will inspect the recalled cars to determine whether they may have suspect parts. “Where no crack is present, and where available, a retaining bracket will be fitted to the joint. Where cracks are found, or a bracket is not available, the front suspension knuckle will be replaced,” the company says.

Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has any outstanding recalls at our recall center
