While its future role in the Scion lineup is still a matter of conjecture, the first images of the mildly revised 2013 Scion xB have now been released along with pricing information on the division’s most versatile family member. Beyond replacing Stingray Metallic and Elusive Blue Metallic paints with Absolutely Red and Nautical Blue Metallic, the exterior changes are confined to a mild nose and tail tweak. Up front, it consists of a gloss-black lower grille element and integrated LED accent lighting while the xB’s aft quarters gain a bit more sporting flair courtesy of a black rear diffuser. Inside, a new seat fabric set off with chrome and bronze metallic trim accents adds a tad more character to the cabin while a new BeSpoke Premium Audio Package joins the xB option roster.
On sale early next year, the 2013 Scion xB will open at $17,555 when equipped with the standard 5-speed manual transmission and $18,505 when fitted with the optional 4-speed automatic. Those numbers reflect increases of $500 over their 2012 counterparts.
