While Jag’s sportiest line carries over largely unchanged for the new season there is one rather significant addition to the family. It comes in the form of a new 2013 Jaguar XK Touring model. Available in both XK Touring Coupe and XK Touring Convertible form, this newly-minted variation on the theme retains all of the essential character of its siblings, but dispenses with things like suede headliner, climate-controlled seats, Bowers & Wilkins audio and 20-inch wheel/tire package in return for a $5,500 price drop that sees the XK Touring Coupe open at $79,875 and the XK Touring Convertible start at $85,875.
Offered only in a mono-spec configuration, both of these new Touring variants do come with a bounty of attractive features in addition to the XK’s standard 385-horespower/5.0-liter V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission. Exterior highlights include subtle Aero Pack front/rear spoiler lips, 19-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming power folding mirrors, Reverse Park Camera and Parking Sensors. The still-plush cabin features bond-grain leather upholstery, Satin Rosewood veneer trim, heated front seats, a 525-watt Jaguar Premium Sound System with Satellite Radio, keyless entry/start and a multi-function steering wheel.
