Intent on leveraging its already considerable success in the mid-size SUV/crossover market, the 2013 Chevrolet Traverse gets a focused remake that Chris Perry, vice president of Global Chevrolet Marketing, promises will introduce "a wide variety of improvements to ride and handling, interior materials and exterior styling." Perry claims the cabin of the 2013 Traverse was "designed to give families a new gathering space with elements of style and refinement," a contention the modest interior detail seems to support. Beyond that, the only other confirmed upgrade will be the introduction of GM’s innovative front center airbag, an industry-first inflatable restraint that can provide additional protection for front-seat passengers in the case of severe far-side impacts.
