Acura has released pricing for its new entry-level ILX model line. As promised, the sleek five-passenger, front-drive sedan will arrive in dealerships across the country next month offering solid value in all three basic configurations, including the division’s first-ever hybrid model.
Anchoring the lineup, the 2013 Acura ILX will open at $26,795 and be powered by a 2.0-liter/150-horsepower i-VTEC four-cylinder linked to a 5-speed Sequential Sport Shift automatic transmission and feature a long list of standard features including a Keyless Access System, pushbutton starting, Pandora internet radio interface, SMS text message function, Bluetooth, a power moonroof and aluminum wheels.
This far-from base version also will be available with a Premium Package (leather, heated front seats, power driver’s seat, 360-watt audio system with XM Satellite Radio, HID headlamps, fog lights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a multi-view rearview camera and an Active Sound Cancellation system) for $30,095 as well as a stackable Technology Package (ELS Surround audio system, AcuraLink Satellite Communication System with the full range of real-time traffic and weather features, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition and Homelink) for $32,295. All versions come with EPA ratings of 24/35 mpg city/highway.
Those seeking more sporting flair can opt for an Acura ILX with a 2.4-liter/201-horse i-VTEC four paired with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission and the Premium package that starts at $30,095 and carries 22/23 mpg EPA figures. Buyers seeking to go green can have their Acura ILX Hybrid in standard form for $29,785 or with a Technology Package at $35,295. Both are fitted a 1.5-liter inline i-VTEC four-cylinder engine paired with an Integrated Motor Assist electric motor backed by a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and earn EPA estimated fuel economy ratings of 39/38 mpg.
