Positive Review
A solid road car! Surprisingly agile and handles well for such a large sedan. Very quiet, dependable, and luxurious! I have just raked up 100,000 and no problems to report. This is a car you can drive all day and never get tired of driving. I bought it 5 years ago with just over 40,000 on the original engine! I have followed its maintenance schedule and always use the synthetic oil - no major problems to report. Transmission works like new, all the gadgets work, automatic windows work; but the radio went out on my last week (will need to replace it with a newer model). Otherwise, it's been a solid and reliable car. Lots of room inside and able to drive to Canada and back and still go to work the next day. :)
Critical Review
The car appeared to run well when I bought it, but after a few trips over 60 MPH it fell apart. The aluminum block engine started leaking, the drivers side window slide broke, there was no A/C, the hood wouldn't open, and the trunk would not close. Other than that it was a smooth ride.

Does not start? But easy fix
Wreck from minor rear ending Engine does not start, because fuel cut off valve in trunk is cut off from rear ending. Easy fix, but I’m 88 y/o
Expensive to repair at a repair shop
It is a wonderful car. My machanic says this was the best year for this car. It is a joy to drive..
1 owner , always garaged. And maintained
Paint is chipping off in some spots
Car is mechanically sound and highly reliable . Always garaged and maintained. Brand new tires. White w/red leather interior full power fully loaded. . Car has various spots where paint has came off . Taillight qrtr texts and hood. Other than the paint issue the car is as nice as you can hope to find

performance and styling
dash illumination and lack of gauges
I bought this 1992 Deville with 142k miles in October 2018. Always liked the styling and a test drive sold me. Great performance from the 4.9, smooth shifting and quiet ride. Very roomy. Mileage is the only bummer - get about 18 mpg on the interstate. 4.9 is a great engine - I don't trust the heads on the newer Northstars. Ergonomics are a little dated - hard to reach the stereo, crude cupholders, dash lacks gauges and good illumination - but the car is from early 90s. All in all I really like this lead sled.
Great ride, very reliable, comfortable, roomy.
Cadillac doesn't make these cars anymore.
I absolutely love this car! I am friends with the people who bought this car brand new in November of 1992 and they had it for about 8 years and then they sold it to me in 2000 when they got a new Cadillac. They had all of the routine maintenance done on this car and loved it, but they decided it was time to upgrade, so I have had this car since July of 2000. This is one of the best cars that Cadillac has ever made. The quality is outstanding and cannot be beat. I still have all of the original interior besides the radio. I even still have the cup holders! The radio died in about 2002, which I was not happy about because it was a top of the line Delco/Bose Gold Series System, but it was ten years old. The ride is very smooth and people that drive this car always comment that it feels like you are floating because the shocks and suspension are so good. In October 2015 I hit a deer with this car and at the time only had liability insurance, so I had to pay for it out of pocket. The great things was that the only thing that was damaged was the hood, that's it! None of the radiator or steering got messed up at all. These old Cadillacs are like tanks and are rock solid. I got a new hood for this car and painted it with the original paint code from the VIN and after it was done, you could not tell anything had happened! It is also a very roomy car, with seating for up to 6 people. I have never had any trouble with the engine or transmission going out. The rearview mirror has fallen off a couple times, but I have fixed it. The same thing has happened to some of the emblems on the back of the car, but gorilla glue fixed that problem! Overall, this car is one of the best that I have ever owned and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.
Luxurious, dependable, stylish, comfortable
people ask too many questions when we tske it out
It is a wonderful car and I reviewed it before. The reason I am responding again is so many people have lost the CUP holder that did come with these cars new. It is a black contraption that clips to the front of the armrest ; black in color holds 2 cups. I lost mine a couple of years ago but found a replacement on Amazon. On that note I will once again say We have kept this car for so many years because it is still in near perfect condition. We currently have a 2012 DTS nice but not as stylish and elegant as the old 93 SEDAN DEVILLE. Our 93 also has the extremely rare D'elegance trim package of which less than 300 were made in 93 we are told. .
Great price for performance, and fun to be in.
Gas hog, but it isent bad if well maintained.
I've owned this for quite some time now, and as the 3rd owner, I do NOT plan on selling it. It is one of the most reliable motors from GM of the late 80s and early 90s. The comfort from the leather seats is really remarkable, and the power from the 4.9 V8 (200HP) is really nice. I am in college, and this car was passed down to me from my Dad. If you are looking at purchasing some, it is totally worth it. The value is only going to go up the longer you keep it, so now would be a good time to get one. Love this car.
