Why did they stop making this car? It's an awesome car. We have had 2 LeSabres...would buy another... !It's been reliable and dependable. We have only had to replace the brakes and tires and battery on this car and it's 11 years old!!Of course, we maintain it religiously. It's spacious interior with 6 passenger seating beats a minivan any day in our opinion . We have hauled grandkids all over Washington in this. The trunk is super huge...can fit the whole house in there. All I can say is Buick really goofed not keeping this car in production.
Critical Review
This vehicle is the worst car I have ever owned. Spent $3500 in repairs in 14 months and still needed $2000 more in repairs. Had the transmission repaired 3 times and two major engine repairs.

I love the look of this car, and it rides great. If something does go wrong on it, which eventually something will go wrong on any car, parts are cheap and reasonably easy to install or change. I’ve had mine for 6 years now and it’s now got 312,000 miles on it and still running strong.
They don't make em like this anymore. It's a daily driver. Easy and cheap to repair. Best motor ever made. Only a handful of things that could go wrong. Just stay on top of maintenance and repairs. Out of all the new cars the family has. When we go places together, everyone insists on taking the Buick. It's still a luxury ride after all these years. The Honda and Toyota of american cars.
I wanted to know what my car was worth and they tried bating me into giving a lot of personal information. They never did help me with the value. Shame on them. :{
This car has never let me down It rides smoothe comfortable large trunk always starts up. Great ac/ heat right away it’s built strong like a tank it’s a mid size car and if it is maintenanced properly it’s great for an old car. I love my car I hate to buy a newer car it may not have all the features however it’s dependable My Great old Buick Lasabre Classic also has a hitch for the money worth buying .
Heated seats, powerful AC/heat, famous reliability, powerful engine, 6 seats, quiet interior.
Hard to find one of these in good shape in some places, large size makes it hard to park
Bought an '05 LeSabre Limited Celebrity Edition from my grandfather in 2023 for $2200 cash. Had it for almost 3 years, no issues whatsoever. This car is powered by the legendary 3800 Series V6, putting out roughly 205HP. Mine has 6 seats, but other LeSabres built in this generation might have only seats. It has been aa great car to me so far. Would recommend picking one of these up if you can.
30 mpg highway
rust
Car has new tires , battiery, brakes. needs service on A/C, fuel guage. Runs good, 30mpg on highway.
Cheap to buy, cheap to fix, cheap to fill up. Spacious trunk and seats.
No Bluetooth (it didn't exist at the time) or CD player. Kits exist aftermarket but they're expensive.
I bought my LeSabre at just below 98k miles around the time I lost my 2017 EV in a car accident (F U Progressive!) and it's one of the best cars I've ever driven. While I do miss charging at home for a fraction of the cost of gas, repairs compared to my last car are very cheap. Actually, for a car that's 24 years old it barely needed any work- brake repairs and new tires and that was it. It also has stellar gas milage. Around the late Naughties the SUV took over from the sedan as the most popular car, which in my opinion was a huge mistake on society's part! Why did we ever abandon these built to last, easy on gas commuters that won't burn your wallet? I've driven this old car from Wyoming to New Mexico and back on the highway, and used it for my pizza delivery job at Dominos driving up to 10 hours straight in the city! I still want to get an EV or a hybrid again some time in the future, but even then I'm keeping this old Buick. It's a car you could even hand down to teenagers when they start driving- the longevity and affordability is that good!
Engine, transmission
Rust, ceiling liner drooping
I've had this Buick for five years and it's been a good ole car. It's getting a tad rusty in spots and the ceiling liner is drooping. But the engine and transmission are great and it runs well.
