These cars have the worst resale value. BMW just doesn't hold up for reliability. Cheaply made car, no quality. With all new electric vehicles coming out, will be a game changer. No more gasoline vehicles. This car is not comfortable or anything. Walk Away

Performance, comfortable, luxury, fun
Expensive
Have a 2020 M850I convertible. This car is amazing!!! Pure quality and luxury. Very fast when you want it, smooth running and shifting and fairly economical for this type of car. I have driven Mercedes Benz, Audi, Jaguar, and others. None can compare overall. I have taken this car on cross country vacations (top down in mountains, along beaches and on back country roads) and find it VERY comfortable. Road mileage at 24/25 mpg (happy with that). It is well built and sturdy with all the M-sport goodies. Depreciation is a bit of a negative, but that is the nature of any of this type of vehicle, but not excessive. Currently valued at 37% of MSRP after six years of enjoyment. Never a single problem, you just have to take good care of them. Mine is Sonic Racing Blue with black full Merino leather - beautiful.
Fast, Sleek, Fun

This is our third BMW convertible and all have been fun and trouble free. Have leased before but are buying this model. Highly recommend.
V8 sound, Great gas mileage, Unique tech features.
19+ Inch Tire Profile is easily prone to damage
I have been driving this car for a while now and I am about to hit 50k miles soon. Not one single issue ever, just maintenance so far and even that was relatively cheap. The sound this V8 makes is just something you'll never get tired of. I sure haven't. the XDrive system really makes you feel all of the torque when you launch it, amazes me every time. MPGs are pretty darn good too for its size and power. The ONLY downside I have with this car is its tire profile, its very easy to get tire damage if you have the 19+ inch size rims. Other than that, it's an awesome vehicle.

Powerful yet comfortable coupe that has great looks. No mechanical problems in 30k miles. Mileage around town 20.5 summer 21.5 winter. Never have taken rear passengers, too small back seat.
Balance for the discerning consumer

840i, everything is excellent and works as it should, great ride, handling, balanced performance, enough power, gas mileage, if you and one other person want to take a trip in perfect comfort in a car that is a pleasure to be in, this is it. Holds enough baggage, good fuel mileage, really fun to drive, beautiful well thought our interior, all the bells and whistles. When I think of this car, the word "Balance" comes to mine. Enough power, great handling, excellent ride in a quiet, well appointed interior, not many of them on the road, I just feel at peace in this car. IMHO this is the ultimate expression of an ICE vehicle, it is the representation of the end of an era, and checks all the boxes. Get the 840i, stay out of the pricier V8s and convertibles, and just enjoy!
