"wolf in sheep's clothing"

Great car - lasts a long time without major work. Mine has 200k miles now and runs and drives great. Last and probably the best of the great 5 cylinder audis. Takes to modifications very well (more power, suspension upgrades). The only dissapointment is the factory paint that has crazed after only 13 years - paint on my previous audis still looked new after same time and care...

Incomparable QShip, barely equaled by modern cars
Pros

Price, quality, utility, handling, interior, fast

Cons

Car demands upgrades to tap fullest performance

I have owned my 95.5 Avant for 10 years, now 220,000 miles. No leaks, great leak-down, and torquey power. Cars are solid, add Porsche 993 brakes, chip the engine, shocks and springs and it will equal any sport sedan made today. 5 cylinder turbo 2.2L engines are bullet-proof, provided you change cam belt. Quality interior, and Recaro seats are still superb as is the astounding Bose radio with rear CD. Porsche-style analogue complete gauge package. Lots of storage space, plus the rear facing 3rd row seat is a special feature. I have owned two other 5 cylinder S-cars, S6 and S4 and the Rare, Casablanca Avant is the best balanced of this Genre. Great snow car with late model V8 Torsen rear diff. These cars are rare treasures and despite what others say here, BMW, Mercedes cars are no equal. If you can find a well-maintained 95.5 Avant for sale, you should also buy a Lottery ticked. Favorite upgrade is RS2 parts, but stock with just a chip will get you close to 300HP.

So fun, capable, and reliable.
Pros

No one passes me on snow.

Cons

No rear fold down seat backs.

Over 300,000 miles now on the original clutch, turbo, engine, transmission, paint, interior. Uses just a little oil between my 10,000 mile synthetic oil changes. I will keep it for 400,000 miles.

No other vehicle like the Quattro S6!
Pros

Powerful, responsive, nimble, beautiful!

Cons

Gas mileage is low, but not bad (mid 20s)!

This is an incredible, unique, powerful, and one-of-a-kind sports machine! This 5-cylinder, turbo-charged dream is no longer made and they broke the mold when they made her! So fun to drive and just as agile as she is quick! Mine was actually used in Pro Rally races (got the stickers to prove it).

1995.5 Avant has features not matched today
Pros

Big bang for buck, performance, handling, reliable

Cons

Timing belt has to be changed at proper intervals

These cars are rare, usually well kept, powerful 300 HP with chip, upgraded brakes, and springs are usually upgraded by enthusiasts. Plush leather and high quality interior. The Bose radio system still matches new units offered. AWD makes it a fast, comfortable 4 season car capable of going anywhere. It matches any of the new $50,000+ wagons offered today. These are treasured rare finds.

My four door Porsche
Pros

Just call me pound for pound

Cons

You have to be kidding me

To whom it may concern, It's hard to explain the importance of this car in automotive history. There however are a handful of people who know exactly what it's like to maniacally wheel one of these fine crafts. My 1995 is the fifth 20V Turbo of the six Audi's I have owned. I bought my current mobile with 29,000 miles in 2003. I just now repainted it with 138,000. You never have to covet thy neighbors ride or take on a car payment when you own one of these. At intervals of 90,000, 165,000 and 220,000 you will need to make the decision to fix 'em or move 'em. I have always opted for the fix.
