Aston Martin has had some recalls over the past few years on its vehicles going back a decade dealing with pressure warning lights, malfunctioning locks and overheating seat warmers. The programs cover a wide range of vehicles including DB9, DB11, DBS, Vantage, Virage, Rapide and Vanquish models.
Aston Martin recalled 2017 DB11 vehicles pertaining to a tire pressure issue. A total of 319 vehicles had incorrectly calibrated low-pressure warning lights that would not come on when activated. The tire pressure monitoring system needs a software update as a fix. The completion rate for this recall as of April 2018 is 78.9 percent.
In 2015 recalled over 6,000 vehicles including 2010-2015 DB9, 2010-2012 DBS, 2010-2016 V8 Vantage, 2012 Virage, 2010-2016 Rapide, 2014-2016 Vanquish, 2011-2016 V12 Vantage, and 2012-2013 V12 Zagato models. The affected vehicles had malfunctioning locks where it may not be possible to unlock the vehicle from the inside. Data from the NHTSA shows the completion rate as of January 2018 is 74.2 percent.
Aston Martin also reported 7,256 vehicles were recalled in 2014 over heated seats on both driver and passenger sides not being able to be turned off and could overheat. The recall was for 2006-2014 DB9, V12 Vantage, V8 Vantage, DBS and Virage vehicles. The electronic control for the heaters may have failed and an additional module needs to be installed to fix the issue. The completion rate for the recall is 72.6 percent as of October 2016, per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
