The 25 Best-Selling Cars in 2025

The best-selling cars, trucks, and SUVs of 2025 fought off inflation, tariffs, a tough job market, and a volatile political environment to reach these ranks. While many models on this list are seeing year-over-year sales increases, some are seeing declines. It was a mixed bag for overall sales in the United States in 2025, and that trend is continuing in 2026.

Familiar brands and nameplates fill the bestseller ranks for 2025, but a few more recent additions enter the fold, like the Chevy Trax and Ford Maverick. Whatever vehicle you’re shopping for, there’s likely something to strike your fancy on this list. After all, these are the cars that folks just like you have chosen more than any others in 2025.

Here are the 25 best-selling vehicles of 2025, based on Automotive News and data from Kelley Blue Book parent Cox Automotive.

1. Ford F-Series

2025 Ford F-150 Tremor

Total Units Sold: 828,832

Ford’s herd of F-Series trucks — which includes the F-150, F-150 Lightning EV, F-250, F-350, and the even larger models — perennially sits atop the list, in part because it’s an aggregation of several models, but also because it’s consistently popular with commercial fleets as well as retail buyers. It’s popular because it’s so good, and it earned the Kelley Blue Book Full-Size Truck Best Buy of 2025 award.

2. Chevrolet Silverado

2025 Silverado ZR2 driving through the desert.

Total Units Sold: 580,368

Coming in second to the F-Series is Chevrolet’s eminently capable Silverado lineup, which aggregates the Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500, plus the new Silverado EV, but doesn’t include the nearly identical GMC Sierra line. If you combined GMC and Chevrolet’s pickup figures, GM would have the best-selling truck title by about 100,000 units.

3. Toyota RAV4

2025 Toyota RAV4

Total Units Sold: 479,288

As the top-ranking non-pickup model, the Toyota RAV4 is the most popular SUV in the United States. Sales figures include the standard and hybrid variants, including the RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid. All RAV4 variants offer modern tech, a roomy cabin, and many standard safety features.

The Honda CR-V is another much-loved compact SUV for Americans. It appears near the top of the bestseller list annually, frequently alongside its primary rival, the Toyota RAV4. The CR-V’s excellent all-around ability, equipment, and value have made it a strong seller, as well as KBB’s Compact SUV Best Buy of 2025.

The third of the Big Three pickup lines, Ram Trucks, comprises the sales figures of its Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, and heavier-duty models. It might not be as popular as its crosstown rivals, but Ram’s pickup trucks sold more than double the next full-size truck competitor, the Toyota Tundra.

2025 Toyota Camry

Total Units Sold: 316,185

Once upon a time, the Toyota Camry was almost as likely to be at the top of this list as the Ford F-Series, but the market has turned away from sedans.
