Positive Review
I own this model, GS 1994 Legend. I purchased it back in 2002. It had 95,000 miles on it, I didn't bat an eyelash my mechanic for my 89 honda civic told me it was a great car that he'd serviced for years. I became the 3rd owner. Its has served me well. Again the repairs are basic wear and tear items but costly in general. Some unexpected repairs like replacing the antenna, speedometer sensor failure.( twice) But overall a very good car with rock solid engineering. Gas mileage isn't great but the ride and handling is solid. Many options at this level, auto temp control, cruise, leather seats heated. No regrets, considering painting it at this point. Love Acura, (Honda forever)!
Critical Review
I really enjoyed the car when it was running properly. I purchased a 94' in 2004 with 80k miles. My complaint is at 133k miles I replaced the motor because of a blown head gasket. Now at 157k, the head gasket is going again. I am a back yard mechanic and know how to take care of a vehicle. What is up with the engine head gaskets? What happened to my 200 - 300 thousand miles? Let's see what happens with my 02' RL with 66k miles.

Could get better gas mileage
The Acura Legend coupe has a timeless design it still looks great after almost 30 years and everything still works. What great craftsmanship was put in to this car. It is very reliable and has only had basic maintenance done. It runs great. I would recommend it to anyone if you can find one for sale. Mine has been garage kept all its days & still look great.
A thrill to drive and have fun in!
Parts are getting hard to find.
Loved this car! It did everything I'd asked and was faster than it looks so it surprised a lot of people. Was going to fully restore it, had set aside $12-15,000 to do so and found out it would take more than double that...no thanks. I'll sell it. Picked up a Acura TL instead and the love for the brand lives on...
styling, design, power, comfort
cup holder antenna iffy
Bought my 94 Legend New in 93. Owned an 89 Legend before this one. The 94 is by far the best ride I've ever owned. Great styling, handling, power, comfort. Simply a dream to drive. I've used it locally and I've done a lot of off-road driving. Switched to a good mechanic when expensive repairs started knocking at my door. Needed a heater core, new leather, sensors started failing, ABS got flaky, suspension (other than shocks) began giving up the ghost. But that's understandable being the amount of rough roads it has been on. Sadly, because of smoke, the car didn't pass smog last week - valve seal guides have been getting worse. At this point- between needed engine and suspension repairs and new brakes and tires that it will need soon, I'm going to retire it. But it gave me a quite a run for 23 years. Without a doubt, the best vehicle I've ever owned - hands down!
Still drives like the day we brought it home in CA

Original owner, moved from Riverside, CA in June, all service done by local Acura Dealer. Car always hand washed and detailed weekly. Waxed monthly. Engine is imaculate.
HAS AN EXCELLENT SOUND SYSTEM
NO CUP HOLDER BACK SEAT DOES NOT GO DOWN
IT'S BEEN A JOY TO OWN. IT'S NEVER GIVEN ME TROUBLE. IN 21 YEARS I REPLACED CV BOOTS 1 AT 50,000 OTHER 56,000 AND 3 BATTERIES. GREAT HIGHWAY CAR. GETS LOT OF LOOKS. NOT VERY MANY PRODUCED.
Honda reliability
Limited production so some parts are rare
After many years of dependable daily driving and occasional recreational driving on mountain roads, I can assure buyers that the 1991-95 Legend is a truly remarkable automobile. The mass, power, performance and braking is not dissimilar to a modern GTI. The engine note has been compared to a classic Alfa Romero. It is very fun to drive and remains a very pretty design, both outside and in the cabin, after decades. The double-wishbone independent suspension is an excellent design that provides accurate turn in and confident cornering at the limit when pushed. Worthy of restoration!
