"Bought this truck in 1992 with 117,000 miles on it. Used and abused it both in my construction business and pulling stumps out of the ground around my home. Paid $7,000.00 for it, am still driving it with 305,000 miles. Just bought another vehicle for my dog (crew cab), so this one is just not being driven anymore. Still a good looking hard worker that is fun and easy to drive. Will miss the reliability and dependability of this vehicle. BTW, it tows my boat (3,500#) like there is nothing behind it, up hills, wherever. Someone is going to get a great vehilce for cheap."

"Bought my 89 S-10 Blazer (2dr) from an old farmer's estate with about 235,000 on it. Drove it for 2 years. Then, with 275,000 I finally blew the engine---not the truck's fault--- and gave it to my ex-wife's b/f to use the tranny in HIS S-10 Blazer (which is still running strong after about 6 months). This was my back-up vehicle, so i didn't baby it at all...I WANTED to see how hard I could beat it just to see what it could take, and it took everything i gave it. I ended up using THIS as my daily driver and my OTHER car as by "back-up" vehicle)..1st time i slammed it into 4-wheel, it jumped like a jack rabbit! (glad i still had my foot on the brake and there wasn't anyone in front of me). I could not believe the stength and power to be had from that 4.3 Vortec V6..I LOVED this truck (suv). and the turning radius is unbelievable..I could make a u-turn on just a little more than a 2-lane road. About the only downfall, with today's prices, is the mileage...but then again, i don't suppose 17mpg is all that bad, all considered. (going to go look at a '93 this weekend)...I LOVED THIS VEHICLE!!!"

"Watch for fuel injection problems on these vehicles. The fuel injection regulator goes bad (& possibly other parts) which can be an expensive fix if you don't know what your doing. I Also had to change the distrubutor on my vehicle. The steering boxes are not the greatest either but I havent changed mine. I have about 160,000 miles on mine and it is still going. It has the original engine and transmission. Its a decent vehicle overall but I feel there are better choices if you can afford them."
