All-new for 2015, the Escalade boasts a redesigned interior and exterior, while fuel-economy figures climb slightly over the model it replaces. Versions built later in the 2015 model year have already been updated with an 8-speed automatic transmission, surround-view camera system and 4G LTE connectivity. The top-line Platinum edition also joins the collection.

Cadillac is winnowing its Escalade offerings to just two versions for 2014, the regular model and the even longer ESV version. No longer available are the Escalade Hybrid or pickup-like Escalade EXT. The only thing new for the 2014 Escalade lineup is an exterior color: Midnight Plum Metallic.

2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV

The 2007 Escalade ESV raises the bar on luxury SUVs. It may be in a shrinking segment, due to high fuel prices, but for those who need full-size truck capabilities and want luxury-level appointments, features and image, the stretched ESV is the ultimate aspiration.

About Cadillac Escalade ESV

While there are a number of full-size luxury SUVs from which to choose, none offer the 2016 Cadillac’s Escalade’s combination of body configurations, power, luxury and sheer presence. If there were an award for most artful use of chrome trim, the Escalade’s grille alone would win it hands down. Where other luxury SUVs seem to be downsizing, the long-wheelbase 2016 Escalade ESV proves bigger is still better, providing even more interior space than the standard-wheelbase Escalade. Both vehicles are powered by a massive 6.2-liter V8 and offer the option of 4-wheel drive (4WD). With a tow rating up to 8,300 pounds, the Escalade takes a back seat to the Lincoln Navigator. However, the Navigator can’t match the Escalade’s advanced safety and technology features.

"I CURRENTLY OWN A 2016 ESCALADE ESV-PREMIUM PACKAGE AND BEFORE THAT I USED TO OWN 2009 ESCALADE AND BEFORE THAT I OWNED 2006 GMC DENALI(I BOUGHT THEM ALL BRAND NEW FROM THE DEALER). 2016 ESCALADE HAS THE WORST RIDE COMPARE TO MY LAST TWO TRUCKS.HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM!!VERY BUMPY RIDE.I FEEL EVERY SINGLE BUMP IN MY STOMACH WHILE DRIVING. AROUND 13K MILES I HAD THE DEALER REPLACE THE FRONT SHOCKS. THEY SAID THE ORIGINAL SHOCKS WERE DEFECTIVE BUT WITH THE NEW SHOCKS I REALLY DONT FEEL ANY DIFFERENCE. OH!ONE OTHER THING;BEFORE THE TRUCK HIT 5K MILES I HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER TWICE BECAUSE OF THE 4WD SOFTWARE MULFUNCTION AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY ALSO CAUSE IT WAS NOT GOOD ANYMORE!! ITS BEEN A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT FOR A $95K VEHICLE.I WOULD NEVER TOUGHT THAT I WOULD HATE "CADILLAC" BRAND !!"

Pros: "Seats are nice"

Cons: "Transmission at low speeds is rough and awkward"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"The transmission works poorly until 3rd gear. For around town driving transmission is awkward and uncomfortable. Dealer has worked on the transmission 3 times (replaced the whole transmission) with only minimal improvement. Too much cheap plastic trim for the price. I could deal with the other issues but the transmission ruins it since we mainly use it around town."

Pros: "none"

Cons: "really?"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"After 12 years of owning a German SUV's. I decide it was time to try American again. What a freaking mistake. The AC doesn't work properly, the transmission had a problem, the radio goes in and out. When a car company cannot even get the radio right! NEVER AGAIN."
