For many car shoppers, the dream may be to take ownership of a brand-new Mercedes-Benz, or, as the brand improves, perhaps a Cadillac. Few of us even imagine owning a vehicle from the top echelon of the automotive world, where brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley reside. Bentley is so far out of the mainstream that you can easily encounter drivers who don't recognize the brand, or, at the very least, couldn't name a single current model. But, for owners of these British vehicles (Bentley is owned by German carmaker Volkswagen), there is no comparison to their levels of power, elegance, craftsmanship, and exclusivity. Well-heeled buyers can choose between models ranging from the fairly traditional Bentley Arnage and Bentley Arnage Final Series to the svelte Bentley Brooklands or the all-new Bentley Mulsanne sedan (or saloon in British speak). More popular, at least on the roads of car-crazy Southern California, is the Bentley Continental GT, which shares its architecture with the Bentley Continental GT Speed, Bentley Continental GTC convertible, Bentley Continental GTC Speed, Bentley Continental Series 51, and the Bentley Continental Supersports.
