"I purchased this car in April 2012. I loved the look of the vehicle and the test drive was really great. Car had 47k on it when I purchased it. At about 50k i noticed a constant bump noise at low speeds. Come to find out, there were flat spots on NEW tires that caused the noise. Suspension issue. Then my trunk latch broke, bluetooth has to be reset often. Interior is fading and seats are not as durable and seemingly cracking more than a vehicle with 61k should be. I am very dissappointed in Volvo's "flagship" vehicle. I am taking it to the dealer to make sure that there are no transmission issues as the vehicle rpm's raise when there is NO incline and there is a spring like noise pop when ever I start up and take off in the mornings. Advisor states that is a typical noise for Volvo's testing the ABS or something to that effect.. I was going to purchase a Honda Crosstour instead of this but wanted to keep a bit of luxury coming from a BMW... I should have purchased the Honda."
"While I really liked the look of the car, I will not purchase another. Has a sound when you turn the wheel as if plastic is rubbing. Unable to locate or repair. Have had to the dealer several times. Transmission has problems shifting between 20 to 30 mph, especially around 25 mph. Have had to dealer twice on issue - alleged micro chip issue, chip replaced with little resolution. Drinks gas like a truck, but very little pick- up. Rides like a truck, drives like a truck, runs like a truck."
"The base model is under-powered and doesn't include some of the luxury features found on "luxury" models (i.e. integrated nav, premium sound, power, etc...).
Solid and quite ride, very comfortable seats."
Pros: "Interior/exterior quality, pricing, fun to drive"
Cons: "Still cannot find the connections for my MP4"

"I own this car. I and a devoted Volvo customer. Each one gets better, but when I drove this car I realised that Volvo has definately maintained their desire to provide customers with the ultimate driving experience...I LOVE MY S80 3.2!!!"
"Fast, stylish, comfortable. I have had many volvos in the past and all I have had to do on this one is oil changes and of course tires. Love the Yamaha V8 engine. average about 20 MPG overall, 27 on hwy."
Cons: "no blue-tooth music streaming (that came in 2009)"

"I have owned BMW's, Lexus' and Infiniti's, but the S80 has been the best, most economical all around AWD sedan I have every owned. My favorite feature is the Cooled and Heated front seats. I also like the dynamic suspension feature. I use comfort mode for long road trips and sport mode for daily driving as it gives you better feedback. I feel extremely safe having AWD and 5-star crash ratings.
If you are looking for an AWD luxury sedan at a good price point you can't go wrong with the Volvo S80 T6."
"I've owned my S80 for two years and 28k miles without a single hiccup. I've also owned many Japanese and German vehicles. Nothing can touch an S80 for the money. The best part is that it costs almost $10,000 less than anything comparable."
"Got it brand new with all of the options, one of the best was the 12 speaker Dynaudio sound system super loud and great sound quality. The refrigerator was handy too and the 2 glasses that come with it are perfect for enjoying the moment. The rear seats are super comfortable, better than any Mercedes I've ever been in and the front seats as well. And it's a Volvo so you know that this car is safe, the Sport Package came in handy in terms of car handling as I drive to and from Big Bear CA and the rims are very very nice to look at. All of the intirior gadgets are easy to use and of good quality, though mabey Volvo could have another look at the navigation system just to bring it up to date. The navigation system is the same one used in an Aston Martin DBS which is, for those of you who don't know, James Bond's car. Well anyways the gas mpgs are on par with it's competition. Best Volvo Ever, which also means it's better than any Mercedes in this class."
