About Pontiac

Within the GM family, Chevrolet had mass-appeal and affordability covered, Cadillac represented domestic luxury, GMC took care of professional-grade trucks, Buick offered premium style, and Pontiac primarily attempted to fill the performance niche. Some might say Pontiac strayed from that mandate with used cars like the G3 and G5, but dive deeper into the lineup and you'll get a better glimpse of the brand's sporting intentions. The Pontiac G6, for example, was available in three different body styles (including the aggressive GXP guise), while the Pontiac G8 delivered genuine fun with its rear-wheel-drive design and available V8 engine. Even rides like the Pontiac Torrent and Pontiac Vibe were offered with performance-oriented trims, and the Pontiac Solstice, looking quick and agile from every angle, spiced things up with an optional turbocharged engine.
