"I had a Maxima in the 90's, and couldn't wait to get another one. Many years, and many cars later, I got my new 07 Maxima SL....equipped with all of the options. It's a wonderful car. It has more standard features than any other car in it's class. Handling is great. Ride is super comfortable. Gas mileage is good for a car this size--19 in the city, and 30+ on the highway. If your Maxima gets lower mileage, use the premium gas, like the manual says. It does make a difference."
"This is my second Maxima and this one, a 2007, tops the last (2003). The engine rocks with it's power and torque. The CVT transmission is amazing how it doesn't exhibit any shifting whatsoever and it even slows the car when going downhill without braking. The layout of the controls makes using them very simple. The styling of the vehicle is "stunning" - l love it's uniqueness."
"I purchased my used 2012 Nissan Maxima SV Sport in June, 2016 w/14k miles. Very pleased so far. Only complaint is annoying low-speed rearview mirror vibration. Car runs strong, handles well & looks amazing. Nissans CVT is one of the best, just takes some getting used to. Using mid-grade fuel, avg MPG so far is around 23/city. Havent done much highway driving, but sticker says 19/26. Overall build is solid, quality interior amenities, soft leather & BOSE stereo is awesome. Sport pkg includes paddle shifters, 19s, sport-tuned suspension, etc. Mine also has the cold weather pkg featuring htd mirrors/seats/steering wheel.
I have only 1 regret..my Maxima doesnt have the tech pkg w/rearview camera + HDMI (+ NAV if desired). Have read blogs, etc., no way to cost-effectively install aftermarket. Do yourself a HUGE favor and ONLY purchase w/tech pkg."
"I have owned this car for about 5 years now, I loved it up to a year ago when the front suspension on the right side started going bad. I have been to several mechanics to claim to know what it is, yet they cannot figure out the problem. Not even the Nissan Dealership can figure out why it pulls to one side, and not the other. They said it has something to do with the lower control arm but they cannot figure it out. The reliability of the engine is great! I do not think I will ever have a problem with it, but the suspension is now basically bad, very disappointed with this chain of recent events. :/"
"Maxima is the perfect sport sedan for a driver that appreciates Nissan performance (power, handling, and quickness) but doesn't want to spend thousands more for an Audi A3, Acura TLX, Lexus IS, or BMW 320."
"This is a wonderful vehicle for comfort, style, safety, and drivability. I love the push button locks and start features. The only drawback is the fule mileage, but other than that, it's all thumbs up."
"I bought this car new, CVT trans is overall smooth, comfortable, gas mileage could be have decent but still have plenty of performance even ride is solid. Car is beautiful, looks great, love the opts and features panoramic roof, navigation, Bose stereo, has everything on SV Premium package with few more luxury options that are included. 290hp engine is powerful while gives me a quiet smooth ride vehicle ever. Its roomier but headroom is bit cramped otherwise a great car for the money. Bluetooth and steering controls are pluses even capabilities are excellent with great devices on car. I highly recommend buying an Maxima for a luxury oriented sedan its cheaper than cars in the luxury contenders."
"Maxima is nicely appointed. great quality. fun too drive. worth a second look. performance is great. goes beyond expectations. swicthing to manuel transmission is always fun every time. only drawbacks have been some driver blind spots. the tire size has been a problem if i should need to travel in winter road conditions due to the fact no snow chains or cables can be put on the maxima sport package. other than those two small things it has been absolutley wonderful to drive."
Pros: "Tech and Sports package are a must! Fun to drive!"
Cons: "No heated back seats or factory DVD package avail"

"This car is comfortable for road trips with the family and fun to drive. Usually on road trips no one volunteers to be the one in the drivers seat. On every trip we have taken in our Maxima we argue over who is going to drive. The paddle shift is a great feature when you want a change from the automatic transmission although it has a totally different feel than a manual with the CVT transmission and takes a bit of getting used to for those of us that prefer a manual transmission. Regardless - it really is a pleasure to drive."
