"Great little work truck"

Cheap and easy to repair, good size, reliable.
Underpowered
My little B2300 is one of the most practical little work trucks you can get. I bought it from a Commercial truck repair shop where it had been used as a delivery vehicle. It was already well over 200,000 miles and had obviously been neglected, but with a little elbow grease and some skinned knuckles I was able to get the old girl running like new. My only complaint with the truck is the engine. That little 2.3L is fine for running around town but when it comes to climbing hills it feels pretty underpowered. You also definitely feel pretty sluggish when you're hauling anything around. I'd definitely recommend buying the 3.0L or 4.0L if you live in an area with hills or plan on hauling regularly.Read less

"If you treat it right, it will never die!"

Reliable, Great Value, Safe, Cheap Parts/Repairs
Unattractive, Gas Mileage
I bought this vehicle from a friend, which means I paid less than what it was worth. I paid 1200 for this vehicle over a year ago. Now, let me say, the body is damaged from previous wrecks, but that isn't the fault of anyone but the previous owner. It's had some issues in the beginning, due to poor previous maintenance. But let me say, I got a hold of this truck and started repairing things as I went along ( in the order of importance) and it hasn't given me any trouble. It uses a bit too much gas and oil, but for the price, it's quite a bargain. I commute to work. About 2 hours every day of drive time, and it's a real winner. It never dies! Even with small issues or what have you, it never gives me any problems. As someone who doesn't have a lot of extra cash, this is a great truck for me. If you don't maintenance, it will ride until the wheels fall off. If you DO maintenance and treat it right, I honestly believe it will never die. This truck is 21 years old, and it's twice as reliable as the vehicles of my peers that are much younger and more expensive. I think it's a great daily driver and worth every penny I've spent. It isn't a pretty truck, but it's definitely a good one. Great for a new driver or first time buyer, especially if you feel that learning to drive a manual is a valuable skill to have. Probably the easiest manual truck I've driven. This might also have to do with the size.Read less

"good reliable truck"

small . has good bit of power . 4.0l
horrible on gas . has some electrical problems .
i bought the truck from an old man. he parked it under a tree because it started to skip . it was because a pig tail injector plug and become bare because of squirrels eating at it . so i asked if he would sell it . he said he would take 300 dollars for it . soo i bought it towed it to my house and looked more into it . gas had turned bad and fuel pump messed up because of it . replaced it for 60 dollars . jumped it off and it ran perfect . no problems since . engine has alot of power . in all its a very good truck for what i paid

"Best and the Longest vehicle I have ever owned."

Durable and reliable but it does drive like a truc
likes starters.
Bought this vehicle brand new off dealer lot. Have owned it now for 21 years and have spent very little on repairs. It is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned in the 50 years I have been driving. Would have liked to replace it with another Mazda or Ford Ranger truck but they don't make either of them anymore.
