"Loved the car for 60,000 miles. Then had major problems w/crank shaft sensor. Replaced once still not right but dealer said it was fixed. Back to dealer 4 times. Engine blew before I could get in to dealer again. They replaced engine under warranty but was without the car on & off for 4 months while they kept saying it was fixed and engine MF light kept coming on. Reimbursed for less than 50% of rental car charges (had to rent car because mine was in the shop for days at a time and they had no loaner program). At 110,000 crank shaft sensor gone again, $1000 to replace. I think the 4 cyls may have history of this problem be wary of 4 cyl. until you do research"
"snow like it is butter!!! Bought it pre-owned, I have owned it for 5 years and have had absolutley no problems. Did have to replace the original battery though but that's okay because it exceeded its original life span. Do check out the Santa Fe if you are in the market. Very reliable car"
"After years of leasing (VW's, Mazda's) I purchased the Hyundai Santa Fe in 2004. GREAT vehicle. I take very good care it. Minimum maintenance requirements, minimum "recalls". No problems with it at all. Best warranty available."
