"We owned a 1997 Ford Taurus wagon this car and for ten years and 110K miles all we replaced were tires and brakes. The car has an attractive interior with seating for 7. It handled well and was extremely reliable. We had to replace the alternator at 150K miles and went on to drive the car another 10K miles before selling it. Good job by an American company building a family wagon."

"1997 GL Sedan with 84,000 miles - just had the heater core replaced for winter - and Transmission went out about 1,500 miles ago. The car handles well and is very comfortable for long rides, even with a full car. The transmission however, went out with no warning - and cost $1500 to have rebuilt. Other than the tranny and the heatercore the AC blows cold and it does have a comfortable ride."
