"I grew up in a household that only bought other makes and models (chevy, japanese). I love my Ford! I am extremely happy that I choose the Focus over the Corolla and Civic. I believe that Ford has been doing their 100%!! If you are interested in a Ford, GO DRIVE ONE! They drive great! Oh, and by the way its GREAT in the snow!"
Pros: "great price, fun to drive, good fuel economy"
Cons: "rear leg room, folding of rear seats"

"We have the SE sports package sedan with 5 spd manual transmission. The stick shift is sweet. I have been driving manuals for 30 years and this is probably better than any.
The car handles superbly!
Fuel economy has been very good as we don't drive over 70 mph. 38 highway,34 mixed driving .
We love the styling of the interior and exterior; however, improvements can be made for comfort. The rear seat room needs a couple of inches more.
I am tall and though there is ample legroom for the driver, the center console juts in a little too much for right knee comfort. Also the rear headrests should fold in so that the rear seat can fold properly.
Overall so far, we love this car. We think it was an excellent value!"
"I received my Focus Titanium hatchback last December after ordering the model I wanted. The candy blue paint really pops in the sun. The steering is tight, the seats hold you in. I love the dual clutch transmission and the way the engine really wakes up above 3k RPM. I can hit 40 MPG if I'm gentle on speed, but normally the car wants to go, so i'm closer to 36 or 37 mpg. I love the balance of the car. The great stereo. The only negative I've seen on the car is I notice a piece of trim on the door isn't perfectly aligned. The car is tight but could be a little stiffer in hard corners, but I like stiff. The car is quiet at speed. I haven't had to do anything except change the oil (note there is a cover under the car to improve aerodynamics and deaden sound that needs to come off to change oil). I'm driving a rental Escape with the 2.0 turbo so i'm wondering if I should have bought the ST. overall the focus has been bullet proof, sips gas and goess like a demon when pushed."
Pros: "great price, great size, chic, handles well"

"I have been leasing my 2013 Focus since October of last year (2012). I love it! It's a perfect size for me, I don't have kids or anything but it gets me where I'm going (class, work, gym, etc.). The car has been on three road trips now and always does great. I usually get about 28mpg in the city and about 32mpg on the highway; it's a smaller tank than my previous car but I can go longer without filling up. I love the center console for cds, sunglasses, pens, etc not to mention you can plug in an mp3. It's great to be able to sync your phone and be able to make calls hands free. There are plenty of cup holders, the trunk is spacious, and I love the how the side mirrors have the inserted second mirror that make changing lanes much easier (good bye blind spot).
I could see how this car might be a little small for someone with a family, I know it would have been too small for mine when I was a kid. But for me, a recent college grad, it is the perfect size. I genuinely love this car and have not had a single problem with it."
Cons: "too much maintenance & problems for brand new car"

"I loved this car from the moment I got it, I bought it with the idea that I wouldn't have to worry about maintenance or breaking down on the side of the road since it was a brand new car. Since purchasing it I have had 3 recalls and now my power steering has gone out on it, which left me driving home from work last week struggling just to turn the wheel. I got the extended warranty, even though when I agreed to it I was thinking that if I ever had to use it then I would never buy a Ford again because why should I expect my brand new car to need this, anyways, I'm glad I purchased it now, however due to the continuous maintenance that this car has required I don't think I will purchase another one, I had a Honda for the previous 7 years, never a problem, I think that will be my next purchase, unfortunately. Like I said I really wanted to love this car and I did for the 8 months, now a year and a half later, not so much..."
