Ford may throw its "Bold Moves" tagline at everything in its lineup above the Focus, but few things are more deserving of the description than Ford's new Super Duty. From its enlarged grille to the tailgate, everything on the new Super Duty has been redesigned or aggressively tweaked. Despite a familial resemblance to its predecessor, this is more than just a "freshening." Rather, it's a full-scale attempt to retain market leadership with a slew of class-exclusive features both inside (Quiet Steel dash panel) and out (power telescoping and folding trailer tow mirrors).

About Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab

Sometimes you just need to tow a 5th-wheel trailer, yank a house off its foundation, or pull that pesky canyon closed. For that, you need a heavy-duty pickup like the Ford Super Duty. A new 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel offers up 440 hp and an incredible 860 lb-ft of torque, the most in its class.

The more powerful engine is a direct response to competition from the Chevrolet Silverado and Ram 1500, both of which have ramped up their trucks' capabilities. The Super Duty has a loyal following that could never be seduced by the competition, but these improvements put the Ford trucks back on top in capability, and may even convert a few Ram and Chevy owners in the process.

Pros: "Powerful, comfortable, full featured"

Cons: "Dangerous steering wobble, expensive"

"Well designed, well thought out, great looking, comfortable, capable, diesel engine is a flat out monster. I'm happy with just about everything except a few points 1) Developed a dangerous steering wobble at about 25,000k. I will see if new tires will help. 2)Had an airbag wiring issue, the dealer fixed it but left dirty fingerprint stains on the tan headliner. 3) Center console lock is cheap and flimsy; uses ignition key to lock - how can I lock something up when I valet the truck? 4)Turbo pressure release solenoid started humming at 15,000K, needed warranty replacement. 5)Mileage window shows large unexplained variances in mileage; I get 22 mpg (ha!) one minute, then 14mpg the next, same trip, same flat road 6)Only 26 gal tank, replaced with after market 50 gal 7) Interior trim rings around the A/C vents are chromed and multi-faceted. While they look great, they can dazzle your eyes when the sun hits them the right way."
