About Dodge Avenger

In a tough and highly-attractive field of mid-size sedans the 2014 Dodge Avenger offers a muscular appearance, a commendable driving experience, a nice interior, a 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, and value pricing – particularly on the lower end of the trim levels. As the trim levels ascend the value story falls off, however, against the likes of the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Ford Fusion, Chevrolet Malibu, Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata. One of the Avenger’s most appealing features is the optional Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine, which delivers competitive levels of performance, smoothness and efficiency. In the end, aside from personal taste, the major attraction of the 2014 Avenger will likely be its entry-level affordable price.

"I bought the car brand new and so far, I have loved driving it. It handles quite well, I have been getting 25-27mpg city driving and it is very comfortable to sit in. It has plenty of space(head/leg room) for my taller friends. It has a pretty big trunk with fold down seats for those long items you have to haul (I can get two bikes in with the seats down). All in all, I love the car...great buy!"

"I bought this vehicle with 1200mi on it in 2011. It was actually salvaged from a dealership that flooded. I have put 157,000 mi with regular oil changes and the ONLY problem i have had in the 5 years of ownership was that I recently had to replace the alternator and put in a new battery, finally replaced the brakes just this week (and they were still in ok condition), and had to replace the gas cap. This car does great in winter driving- provided you have good tires. I love this car. it has been good to me!"

"Good vehicle, I do like it. But its missing the basics, like reading lights. There are some very large blind spots as well and I do not get the gas mileage that I was expecting. But the handling and comfort are great as well as the power of the V6."
