If you're looking for an old Chevy pickup that spent its life hauling fence posts, pulling hay wagons and getting buried to the axles in the back forty, this isn't that truck. This is the kind of Silverado that looks like the farmer bought it new, kept it tucked in the barn and only pulled it out when he needed to run into town for parts or get the family to church on Sunday. Offered here is a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 4x4 Extended Cab showing just 66k miles. Under the hood is the tried and true 5.7L V8 paired with an automatic transmission and four wheel drive. The Z71 package gives it the right stance and off road equipment, while the 16 inch wheels, chrome front brush guard and bedliner give it just enough working truck attitude without taking away from its classic factory appearance. Inside you'll find the comforts that made the Silverado the truck to have in the 1990s, including power windows and power locks along with the extra room of the extended cab. An aftermarket Alpine stereo has been added for a little better sound when the local AM farm report gets old. The tow package is there when duty calls, but with mileage this low, it certainly doesn't look like this Chevy spent its life dragging a loaded trailer from one county to the next. These GMT400 trucks have graduated from used pickups to genuine collectibles, and finding one with only 66,000 miles is becoming increasingly difficult. The 5.7L V8, Z71 package, four wheel drive and extended cab make this about as useful as a collectible truck can get. It has the square jawed styling everyone remembers, simple mechanicals you can actually work on and none of the unnecessary gadgets found in today's pickups. This is an honest old Chevy from an era when a truck was still expected to be a truck. Fire up the 5.7, toss your jacket on the passenger seat and head into town. Just make sure you're back before dark. There's church in the morning.
