1995 Chevrolet Impala SS For Sale This 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS is a factory-original, one-owner example from the peak of GM's LT1 B-body era. With CarFax-verified single ownership and just 21,600 miles, it presents as a genuine low-mileage survivor of a car that has since developed a serious collector following. Built on the full-size Caprice platform but reworked into a factory performance sedan, the Impala SS was Chevrolet's take on what a big rear-wheel-drive four-door could do when the factory built it in earnest. This one wears Dark Cherry Metallic, one of the two colors added for 1995 after the model launched in black-only form the year prior. Power comes from the 5.7L LT1 V8, from the same small-block family found in the era's Corvette and Camaro, here factory-rated at 260 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. It runs through a 4L60E four-speed automatic to a rear end with 3.08 gears and a factory limited-slip differential, a combination that gives the car easy highway manners along with the low-end pull the LT1 is known for and the traction to use it. This is a rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame sedan in the traditional American mold, carrying the drivetrain and chassis tuning that set the SS apart from the Caprice underneath it. Braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes, part of the performance-oriented hardware the SS inherited from GM's police-package underpinnings. Inside, the cabin is finished in gray leather with the embroidered SS front bucket seats that buyers of these cars specifically look for, along with the center console and gauge layout that came with the sport-oriented interior. On a survivor with mileage this low, the interior is a large part of the appeal, and the embroidered seating is exactly the kind of factory detail that separates a preserved SS from a used one. The Impala SS ran for only three model years, from 1994 through 1996, before GM ended B-body production entirely, and clean, low-mileage, single-owner examples like this one have become the ones collectors chase. This car still carries its original Service Parts Identification label documenting the factory LT1 drivetrain, the kind of detail that matters to buyers seeking a preservation-grade example. For someone who wants an LT1-powered factory muscle sedan with documented history and low mileage, this is a strong example of the breed.
