A unique combination of popular features along with special design tweaks inside and out come together on the new 2019 Infiniti Q50 Signature Edition, which makes its debut at the New York auto show.
The Signature Edition takes as its starting point the Q50 3.0t Sport, which means it is available exclusively with the Q50 sport sedan’s mid-level engine offering, a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. With 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, it sits almost equidistant between the 208-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder base engine and the Red Sport 400’s 400-hp twin-turbo V6. The 300-hp engine pairs with a 7-speed automatic and is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
More aggressive design cues
Design-wise, the Signature Edition features the Sport model’s more-aggressive front and rear fascia treatments, along with special 19-inch bright-finish wheels and trim-specific badging.
Inside, there are leather-upholstered sport seats, Kacchu textured-aluminum trim, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Five exterior colors are offered: Black Obsidian, Pure White, Graphite Shadow, Liquid Platinum, and Iridium Blue. Interior colors are Stone or Graphite.
The included equipment list largely mirrors that of the Sport. Standard features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, a 360-degree-view camera with moving-object detection, rear cross-traffic alert with automated braking, remote start, and front and rear audible parking aids. Also included is navigation with 3D graphics, voice recognition, and a 4-year subscription to Sirius XM real-time traffic info.
The Q50 Signature Edition reaches dealerships in May. Pricing has not been announced, but shouldn’t stray far from that of the 3.0t Sport, which is $48,945 with rear-wheel drive and $50,945 with all-wheel drive.
