Fisker Automotive is a California-based outfit that company officials describe as a "green American premium car company." The company's first production vehicle is to be the four-door coupe pictured at left, which features a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Penned by Henrik Fisker, the man responsible for designing the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, the yet-unnamed vehicle will, according to the company, deliver 50 miles of range on electricity alone and up to 100 miles per gallon. Plans for the vehicle include an unveiling at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, deliveries at the end of 2009 and a starting price of about $80,000.
