2011 Chevrolet Cruze

Already a success in Europe and Asia, Chevy's new Cruze sedan is set to hit our streets shortly offering more space, style and standard/optional features than the aging Cobalt that it will ultimately replace along with enhanced quality, safety and fuel economy. Hoping to snare hordes of first-time buyers and keep existing members of the Bowtie Brigade loyal, Chevy will offer this front-drive four-door in multiple trim levels with two four-cylinder Ecotec engines: a naturally-aspirated 136-horsepower/1.8-liter and a 1.4-liter turbo that makes 138 ponies but develops nearly 25 percent more torque. Expect a super-frugal Cruze XFE model to deliver 40 mpg EPA highway numbers.
