With the Geneva Motor Show still three months away, the innovative Swiss design firm Rinspeed has released an early rendering of the concept it's preparing for the event, the Rinspeed BamBoo. According to the organization's founder and guiding spirit, Frank M. Rinderknecht, this retro-flavored runabout is intended to recall bygone summers on the French Riviera.

True to is name, the four-place Rinspeed BamBoo makes extensive use of natural bamboo fibers in many of its interior elements. Both the BamBoo and the on-board foldable two-wheeler that it carries will feature ultra-clean electric power to complement their unique interpretations of casual chic transport. Rinderknecht sums up effort by noting "BamBoo" pushes the 'reset' button, clears the mind for a new way of thinking. It sports simple, clean lines. No bells, no whistles. Nothing is superfluous." We'll see how it all comes together in early March.
