A Real Porsche

Here's a bit of first-person insight sure to surprise no one: The Porsche Cayenne is the most fun-to-drive midsize luxury SUV on the road. (Although it's curiously capable off-road, too.) The 2-row Cayenne mixes responsive handling with a gorgeous interior and a wide variety of powertrains that includes turbo and hybrid options.

Driving It

From our full review of the 2018 Porsche Cayenne: "The word 'slow' has never been used to describe a Porsche Cayenne. Neither have the words 'uncomfortable' or 'imprecise' or 'unrefined.' Cayennes are simply impressive from behind the wheel. Each is a blast to drive."

Cayenne Turbo

One of the finest performance SUVs money can buy is the Cayenne Turbo. It brings together a Porsche 911-inspired suspension design and a 520-horsepower twin-turbo V8, for the ultimate in sports-car-like handling and power, in a vehicle that can carry plenty of cargo and can tow. Its top speed is 173 mph and it can go from 0 to 60 in a mere 4.2 seconds. For those who crave even more power, the Cayenne Turbo S has 570 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Consumer Reviews

DrBillyD, a KBB.com visitor and Cayenne owner, has this to say about his Porsche: "Positives: Insane power/accel/speed. Crisp handling. FUN drive. Capable off road (locking differentials). Roomy (I'm 6'4"). Never having to wonder "Who's faster?" LOL. Decent mileage (20 MPG highway). Negatives: Poor rear visibility (lane change assist is nice though), glare off metal dash accents can be a pain. Some electronics are quirky (e.g. seat memory, music hard drive, garage door opener). Limited interior storage (doors, armrests)." Read more consumer reviews of the Porsche Cayenne.
