Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior Project Makes Tracks in the Big Apple

By Bob Nagy on April 10, 2017 9:45 AM

Offering a one-off all-terrain take on its redesigned 2017 Rogue, the Trail Warrior Project bowed in New York matching bold exterior graphics with a set of custom snow/sand tracks in place of conventional wheels and tires. The Rogue Trail Warrior’s camo exterior wrap is set off with mil-spec-themed yellow glass elements, an ARB Gear Basket, LED lights and a Warn 4K winch. Prominent fender flares also are on hand to better contain the Dominator Tracks from American Track Truck, Inc. that work with the Rogue’s suitably modified suspension system. But all other primary powertrain elements are unchanged including the 170-horse/2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, Xtronic CVT automatic and AWD system.

“The Rogue Trail Warrior adds a new dimension to family adventures,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. “If you want to stand out from the crowd during a day on the slopes or the beach, this is the vehicle to take.” You’re pretty much on your own when it comes to actually getting the Rogue Trail Warrior from home base to the mountains or the shore.
