NHTSA Video: What to do about Takata airbags

Today there are millions of cars on the road, containing recalled Takata air bags used by many different automakers that have a potentially life threatening safety defect. NHTSA has been working hard to keep affected vehicle owners informed, but the agency understands that there are still questions drivers want and need to have answered.

To help consumers find out if their vehicle is under recall, and understand when and how to address a possible recall on their vehicle containing a Takata air bag it has produced the following video which answers important questions on why these devices are causing deaths and injuries in crashes.
