MINI Report 14: Yet Another Vegas Run

By Editors on June 6, 2008 7:02 AM
Three different KBB editors have now piloted our long-term MINI Cooper S on four roundtrips from Southern California to Sin City. Our Irvine offices are separated from the Las Vegas Strip by about 260 miles of high-limit highway, over which we continue to pick up on nuances that are less evident on shorter loops and commutes. Our latest observation was in regards to seat comfort. Nothing will expose a bad seat more reliably than a long trip, but good seats often go unnoticed and under-appreciated. Today, the MINI's seats are getting their day in the sun thanks to the just-right lumbar support that helps make the stiffly sprung runabout a more comfortable long-hauler than some larger cars we've driven with inferior seats. We also like the trip computer that informed us we averaged 33 miles per gallon on the trip.
