Offering an early look at a vehicle it will formally unveil later this month at the Shanghai Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz execs showed a sketch of a GLC Coupe Concept to attendees of the firm's annual shareholders meeting in Berlin. While not officially confirming this sleek, smaller sibling to the new GLE Coupe will be joining the automaker's lineup, Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, did note "We will continue to keep the portfolio young with further new models," and Automotive News is reporting that U.S. Mercedes-Benz boss Steve Cannon sees it as a viable niche vehicle for the American market. The reveal of this likely subcompact crossover comes mere days after Mercedes confirmed plans to launch first-ever pickup truck -- an upscale midsize hauler - which is set to reach showrooms in certain global markets by the end of the decade.
