Jeep 70th Anniversary Editions - 2011 Detroit Auto Show
From its humble but heroic military beginnings in 1941 to the iconic status it enjoys today, the Jeep brand has traveled down many historic road and trails. To help celebrate its 70th anniversary, the division has a created a unique packages for each of the five models in its current lineup. Arriving at dealers during the first quarter, all will be available in Bright Silver, Black or a unique Bronze Star finish and carry a special 70th Anniversary logo on their front doors and radio screens.
The 2011 Jeep Compass 70th Anniversary Edition sets off its exterior with unique satin-finish 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it features Dark Slate seats with perforated leather inserts and an embossed Jeep logo accented by Chestnut stitching and piping. Berber carpeting, also edged in Chestnut, is used for the floor mats and in the cargo area while the instrument cluster gets a unique dark green overlay. Available on Compass Limited models, the 70th Anniversary Edition starts at $24,970.
The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 70th Anniversary Edition rolls onto the scene wearing special 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels with Mineral Grey pocket accents. Special cabin touches include seats done in Dark Olive (or optional Dark Olive/Black) leather trimmed in Chestnut piping/stitching, a motif also repeated on the door bolsters, armrests, console and Berber mats/carpeting. Unique satin chrome-plated graphite-anodized paint and Black Lacewood accents add further distinction to the passenger compartment, as do a black leather-wrapped steering wheel and custom instrument cluster overlay. Offered on the Laredo X model, the Jeep Grand Cherokee 70th Anniversary Edition starts at $36,550.
The 2011 Jeep Liberty 70th Anniversary Edition sets off its exterior with bright-finish body side moldings, roof rails and license plate garnish plus special 18-inch Mopar alloys that match polished spoke faces with painted pockets. In addition to stainless-steel Mopar sill plates, interior enhancements includes Dark Olive/Dark Slate leather seats with Chestnut accent piping along with matching Dark Olive/Chestnut hides on the armrests and center console plus like-colored Berber carpet and mats. Satin chrome accents and bezels in anodized Silver and Black Lacewood finish and a unique cluster overlay round out the mix. Available on both Sport and Limited models, the 2011 Jeep Liberty 70th Anniversary Edition opens at $25,515.
The 2011 Jeep Patriot 70th Anniversary Edition complements its exterior badging with special 17-inch satin-finish five-spoke alloy wheels. Seats covered in Dark Slate leather with perforated inserts and Chestnut piping are set off with embossed Jeep logos while the same color scheme carries over into its Berber carpets and mats. Chestnut stitching on the steering wheel and a dark-green overlay on the instrument cluster complete the cabin changes. Available on the Latitude X trim, the 2011 Jeep Patriot 70th Anniversary Edition starts at $22,870.
The 2011 Jeep Wrangler 70th Anniversary Edition announces its presence with distinctive 18-inch polished alloy wheels and will be available in both two-door and four-door body styles. Stainless-steel Mopar sill plates brighten the entry portals while the seats are trimmed in Dark Olive with perforated leather inserts and Chestnut accents, a combo repeated in its armrests, center console and Berber carpet and floormats. Satin chrome accents are used throughout the cabin which also features the dark-green instrument cluster overlay. Offered on either the basic Wrangler or Unlimited Sahara models, the 2011 Jeep Wrangler 70th Anniversary Edition will start at $29,420 in two-door body configurations and $32,120 for a four-door version.
