Infiniti teases small sport/luxo concept for Geneva

Few details accompanied this highly stylized first glance at a vehicle Infiniti will unveil at the Geneva Auto Show next month. The release merely confirmed what Andy Palmer, Senior Vice President for Infiniti, stated last September at the opening of the Infiniti Center Piccadilly in London, that the automaker "is currently examining concepts for a luxury performance car that will fit below the current G Line" and that what appears to be a fairly flashy three-door hatchback "will be completely different to anything currently offered by our rivals." Exactly how this production-intended concept intends to "take the Japanese performance brand down a new road, to a new future" remains to be seen. However, the as-yet-unnamed show car -- which is expected to share design technology with Renault and Mercedes-Benz -- could turn out to be one of the surprise stars of the upcoming Swiss salon.
