Sticking an '09 Challenger in a barn or garage might offer a better return than an S&P 500 index fund in the future. Out of all the cars that debuted in 2008, the Friends of the National Automotive History Collection (NAHC) say that the
2009 Dodge Challenger is the "Collectible Vehicle of the Future," predicting that it will be highly desired by forthcoming car collectors. "We asked our members to predict which of this year's new vehicles will turn heads in the Woodward Cruise of 2033 and the 2009 Dodge Challenger is it," said Matthew Lee, chairman of the NAHC Board of Trustees. The Challenger was chosen for its retro muscle-car design cues and resurrection of an iconic look that can be appreciated by enthusiasts both young and old. Previous winners of this award were the Dodge Viper SRT10, Pontiac Solstice,
Chrysler 300, Dodge Viper and the most recent iteration of the Ford Thunderbird.
