Ford Work Solutions: The Work Truck Gets High-Tech

By Editors on February 7, 2008 1:54 PM

Working with companies like Microsoft, Master Lock, Sprint, DeWalt and Garmin, Ford has developed an impressive suite of features designed to make truck-dependent businesses more efficient. Highlights include full in-dash Internet access, RFID in-bed tool tracking, remote vehicle tracking and diagnostics and a bed-mounted retractable cable lock for securing expensive tools and equipment. Ford Work Solutions will be available this fall on the 2009 F-150, F-Series Super Duty, and E-Series vans; next year on the new Transit Connect; and some of the features will eventually be available for Ford trucks already in service.
