Ford F-150 SEMA Show specials teased
Latest one-offs to surface ahead of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show are a pair of new 2015 Ford F-150 concepts. Each offers its own take on personalized high performance, and while complete details await their official unveiling in Las Vegas, Ford has released these early images.
A "street truck" with a multifaceted personality, the Vaughn Gittin Jr. Concept matches its aggressive looks with a Kibbetech custom suspension that features King shocks, Air Lift Performance air ride and 12 inches of travel. Created by the Formula Drift superstar to take full advantage of the F-150's lower weight and serious torque from its EcoBoost V6, this high/low-profile pickup also packs five Recaro bucket seats. "I love trucks, and to build one that has daily on- and off-road capabilities, as well as drifting and jumping capabilities is something I have always wanted to do," said Gittin.
Created by Ford Racing's Brian Deegan and also powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, the Deegan 38 Concept celebrates the off-road character of the new F-150 with functional and cosmetic enhancements from leading aftermarket suppliers including Addictive Desert Designs, Fox Racing Shox, Mickey Thompson Performance, KC Hilites, Mastercraft Safety, Full-Race Motorsports, Leading Edge Tuning and SCT Performance. The truckalso boasts a custom Rockford Fosgate audio system. Ford hopes to roll off with its fifth consecutive "Hottest Truck" award at this year's annual SEMA gathering
