Ferrari 620 GT teased - 2012 Geneva Auto Show preview

While it's full reveal won't come until next week, the latest missile from Maranello -- expected to launch wearing a Ferrari 620 GT badge -- can be almost seen in this purposefully obscure pre-release image. However, it definitely can be heard in an accompanying factory video that shows a heavily camouflaged version being put through its paces by Ferrari F1 drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, at the factory's Fiorano test track. For now, all that's known for sure about this all-new replacement for the Ferrari 599 is that it's a front-engine/rear-drive coupe packing a seriously potent V12, likely an upgrade of the 6.3-liter found in the all-wheel-drive Ferrari FF.

While no output figure has been offered, the automaker has confirmed it will be "the most powerful Ferrari ever." In the ultimate good news/bad news situation, that will only be true for several months. Expect an even more awesome car -- a mid-engined V12/Hybrid successor to the original Ferrari Enzo -- to make its own world debut later this year at the Paris Auto Show.
