Dodge Grand Caravan Report #03: Road Trips!

By Editors on September 12, 2008 11:05 AM
We hadn't been in possession of our new people mover for more than a few minutes before we started contemplating the myriad of journeys now in our futures. Two editors plotted a couples' excursion to the Grand Canyon. One editor contemplated the minivan's potential role in an upcoming bachelor party road trip. Everyone had a plan. The first excursion turned out to be a 200-mile, four-person day trip to San Diego. The standout features of the trip were the comfortable seats (adjustable lumbar support is especially key on longer runs) and the comprehensive MyGIG infotainment system. The navigation system that's part of MyGIG includes real-time traffic information, which the system used to re-route us seamlessly around some construction traffic. We were also happy to observe close to 23 miles per gallon in highway cruising, just as the EPA said we would.
