Ready to relive the Bumblebee dream? Chevrolet has just made it a bit easier with its announcement of a new TRANSFORMERS Special Edition Camaro. Unveiled today at the annual Comic-Con comics convention in San Diego, California, these Rally Yellow TRANSFORMERS Special Editions will be available in LS or SS trim, and with or without the RS appearance kit. They can be ordered directly from your local Chevy dealer. Beyond the signature high-gloss black rally stripes, this $995 upgrade includes AUTOBOT shields on each front quarter panel and wheel center cap with an additional one embroidered on the center console along with TRANSFORMERS logos on each doorsill plate and in the rally stripes. According to Chevy Product Marketing Director Karen Rafferty, the car's appearance in the blockbuster movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," generated huge interest from potential 2010 Camaro buyers, to the point where creating a factory version of Bumblebee became a pretty easy decision. Toymaker Hasbro, holder of rights to the Transformer franchise was equally pleased to team with Chevrolet on bringing this distinctive Camaro variant from the big screen to highways as well as toy departments. Samantha Lomow, the firm's global brand leader for TRANSFORMERS noted: "The yellow Camaro with the black stripes has become so iconic and closely associated with the BUMBLEBEE character that this edition was a natural fit for both companies."
