Already offering one of the industry's most comprehensive certified pre-owned (CPO) programs, Cadillac has just made its used-vehicle owner assurance plan even better. Effective immediately, coverage intervals on the Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned program will be extended to match terms of the automaker's standard new-vehicle bumper-to-bumper program - six years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first. Prior to this change, limits for vehicles that qualified for Cadillac CPO status were four years or 50,000 miles.

"Enhancing the Certified Pre-Owned program adds valuable benefits for customers and the entire Cadillac brand," noted Chase Hawkins, vice president of Cadillac U.S. sales and service. "Improving Certified Pre-Owned supports the ongoing long-term increase in resale value, and is another tool that will enable us to attract new customers."

Under terms of Cadillac's newly upgraded plan, owners of one of its Certified Pre-Owned vehicles also will be offered complimentary 24-hour roadside assistance, courtesy transportation and a three-month subscription to OnStar and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, among other convenience touches.

On a related note, owners of most 2011 or newer Cadillacs also will be allowed to purchase Cadillac's Premium Care Maintenance program. Priced at $399 and previously available only on a new vehicle, it covers a variety of normal scheduled maintenance procedures, including oil and filter changes, engine air and cabin filter replacements, tire rotation and multi-point vehicle inspections at owner's manual-recommended intervals.
