Audi partisans who favor blackout over bling will have a new way to personalize the appearance of their when it comes to personalizing the appearance -- and to a certain extent, the performance -- of their 2011 A4/A5 and S4/S5 models. As it had with the previous generation of these mid-range models, the automaker will launch a new incarnation of its Titanium Packages that uniquely celebrate the sinister side of these vehicles.

The new Titanium Package (Ti Pack) builds on an existing but little-publicized special-order-only "Black Optics" group, previously available through the Audi Exclusive program. This latest variation on that theme brings even more of the "noir" look. On the A4 Sedan/A4 Avant and A5 Coupe, the Ti Pack kit will include blackout grille/window/foglamp surrounds set off by 19-inch RS5-style five-spoke Titanium-finish alloy wheels. While buyers can choose from any exterior color, the ebony-only cabin treatment will feature Piano Black trim as well as sport buckets up front. As an additional functional flourish, the A5/S5 Ti Pack nets a full sport suspension. On the already sport-spec S4/S5 Coupes, the Titanium Package goodies are confined to the blackout exterior bits and Titanium-finish alloy wheels.

Although Audi has yet to release pricing on any of the new Titanium Packages, the first vehicles to offer this new option group will be the 2011 A4 and S4 Sedan and the A4 Avant Wagon which will arrive in mid-summer. The A5 or S5 Coupe won't turn up in showrooms until slightly later in the year.
