UPDATE: You can now read our full review of the 2019 Ram 1500

The completely redesigned 2019 Ram 1500 pickup will include a new Laramie Longhorn Edition, one of Ram’s luxury pickup trims. The new flagship model will go on sale during the first quarter of 2018, with pricing announced closer to its launch. The current 2018 Ram Laramie Longhorn starts at about $50,000 for a 4x2 crew cab.

“The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn is a no-compromise luxury truck that delivers what buyers want most: strength, durability, technology and efficiency,” said Mike Manley, Head of the Ram brand, in a statement. “Wherever you look, whatever you touch, the Laramie Longhorn is filled with more craftsman-like details -- including wood surfaces and 100 percent full-grain leather seats -- than any other truck in the segment.”

The 2019 Ram 1500 full-size pickup was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The revamped truck shed 225 pounds, can haul up to 12,750 pounds, and features an available mild hybrid system called eTorque that helps boost fuel economy. The truck also features a large, segment-topping 12-inch infotainment touchscreen.

New look

The 2019 Laramie Longhorn features the new face of Ram, with a chrome-slat RAM lettered grille. The exterior is decorated with a standard two-tone RV Match Brown trim or monotone paint. It also gets premium LED headlamps and tail lamps, plus new 20-inch or 22-inch wheels.

Laramie Longhorn trucks come standard with chrome bumpers, tow hooks, side steps and wheel flares. They also feature a belt-buckle badge on the side. Much of the luxury feel comes in the cabin, which features a hand-wrapped, full-grain leather dashboard, door coverings and armrests. The center console, instrument panel, seats and door panel inserts are covered with a new alligator skin embossing. A new wood-burned Longhorn logo is used the upper glove box door, while a brushed-nickel Laramie Longhorn metal badge tops the console lid.

The interior also features real-wood tandem doors on the center console and ambient lighting. Buyers also can select heated leather rear seats and rear seat ventilation.

The 2019 Laramie Longhorn is offered in Mountain Brown/Light Mountain Brown or Black/Cattle Tan interior colors.
