2019 Acura RDX Production Model to Debut in New York
After showing a thinly disguised prototype in Detroit, Acura will take the wraps off the production version of its all-new 2019 Acura RDX crossover SUV at the New York Auto Show. In addition to showing the standard RDX model, Acura will also be showcasing a sport-themed A-Spec variant.
Like the Detroit concept, the production RDX incorporates the division’s new design language that includes a 3-dimensional grille treatment, flowing yet muscular lines and a premium cabin that features a new True Touchpad Interface for the infotainment display.
The third generation 2019 Acura RDX also marks the return of Super Handling-All Wheel Drive to the compact SUV along with the first appearance of an A-Spec trim level that features aggressive appearance upgrades. The RDX is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The new RDX is among dozens of new and redesigned cars already unveiled for 2019.
